What we collect
When you call, chat, or email, we collect the information we need to book your repair: phone number, postal code, name, email (optional), a description of the appliance and the symptom, the urgency, and your consent to contact you back. We don't ask for payment details until after the tech has quoted the repair in person.
Why we collect it
To match a technician with your job, fulfil the repair, and follow up on the 1-year warranty. Nothing more.
Who we share it with
We don't resell contact information to third parties. We use an anonymised analytics provider to understand how visitors move through the site. Your repair details stay inside Appliances City Wide.
How long we keep it
Active repair records are retained while your 1-year warranty is in force. Call recordings are kept for 90 days, after which any personally identifying details are redacted. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
Your rights
Under CASL and PIPEDA you can request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting communications about a live repair.
Call recording
Ontario is a one-party-consent province for call recording, but we disclose regardless — every call begins with “this call is recorded for quality and training.” If you prefer the call not be recorded, tell the agent and recording will be switched off.
Cookies + tracking
We use a minimal set of first-party cookies for session continuity and an anonymised analytics cookie to count page views. No third-party advertising cookies.
